Àkwà Return & Exchange Policy

Our Commitment

Every book at Àkwà is carefully curated and inspected before it reaches you. We want your reading experience to begin well — and that includes the moment your order arrives.

Eligibility for Returns

We accept returns within 14 days of the delivery date under the following conditions:

  • The book arrived damaged or defective

  • You received the wrong title

  • The book is in its original, unread condition — unmarked, with no broken spines or removed packaging

We are unable to accept returns for:

  • Books that have been read, annotated, or damaged after delivery

  • Sale or discounted items

  • Digital products or gift cards

  • Items returned after the 14-day window

    How to Request a Return

    1. Email us at akwabookstore@gmail.com within 14 days of receiving your order

    2. Include your order number, the title, and the reason for your return

    3. Attach a photo if the book arrived damaged

    4. We will respond within 2–3 business days with return instructions

    Please do not send items back without first contacting us — unrequested returns cannot be processed.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you by email. If approved:

  • Refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5–7 business days

  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable

  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the error was ours

Exchanges

If you received a damaged or incorrect book, we will send a replacement at no additional cost, subject to availability. If the title is unavailable, a full refund will be issued.

Sale & Curated Bundle Items

All sale items and curated bundles are final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange unless they arrive damaged.

Gift Orders

If you received an Àkwà book as a gift and it arrived damaged, please contact us at akwabookstore@gmail.com with your gift order number and we will do our best to make it right.
